Web Conferencing Features
Meeting Central® web conference features give the conference Host complete control over all aspects of the web conference. Much like traditional conference rooms and teleconferencing, Meeting Central® supports a meeting management hierarchy with distinct features accessible to Hosts, Presenters and Participants.
Participants need only sit back and relax. If desired, the Host can 'promote" them to Presenter or Host, and can 'share" conference controls with them.
Presenters can share presentations and documents, but they cannot change the attributes of the conference room or promote, demote and expel users. These powers belong only to the Host(s). The Host can promote a Presenter to Host status at any time.
Hosts can fully control the conference. And it's easy - a right click on any user or object displays a short list of settings. These settings can be used to:

- Promote users (to presenter or host)
- Demote users (to presenter or participant)
- Expel users from the conference
- Manage audio and video (including play, pause, mute, etc.)
- Manage text conferencing (all users, host/presenters only, specific users)
- Open or close entry (to scheduled conferences)
PowerPoint presentation
It's easy to share a PowerPoint presentation in Meeting Central®. A Host or Presenter can select the Share pull-down menu and choose PowerPoint Presentation. You can do this at any time, and there is no need to pre-stage or previously up-load your presentations. When you Share a PowerPoint presentation, it is compressed at the Presenter's PC, then dynamically sent to the server, and then to all participants. The presentation is cached on the participant's PC, so the presenter can change slides instantly and often. Since only the page change commands go over the Internet to a cached presentation, bandwidth is never a problem.
Use PowerPoint Presentations to:
- Conduct trainings with managers and/or staff in multiple locations
- Present a marketing campaign to all of your franchises at once
- Deliver a report or proposal to a board of directors or group of investors
- Offer webinars to your clients as a new offering or to demo an existing product

Document Sharing
Meeting Central® allows you to share documents with multiple parties over the Internet. A Host or Presenter can activate the Share menu and select Document. You can Share reports created in Microsoft Word, budgets created in Excel, layouts created in a graphics program, and more - virtually any usable document on your PC. Document Sharing works just like PowerPoint Sharing - once you Share the document, it is dynamically sent to the server and then to all participants' PC's, where it is cached. The presenter can flip through pages instantly, and even pages with rich text, graphics and images display quickly and cleanly.
Use Document Sharing to:
- Involve an entire group in revising a report or proposal
- Negotiate and revise a budget with all affected parties - on the spot
- Collaborate on a mockup for an ad layout or promotional brochure
- Analyze financial reports with executives and accountants

- Microsoft Word, Excel
- Plus virtually any usable document
- Graphics, text and images
- Presenter can change pages instantly
- You can share a document anytime
- You can even share multiple documents
Application Sharing
Meeting Central® lets you Share any application on your PC in real time. The Host uses the Share pull-down menu and selects Application. The Host is prompted to select from a list of applications already running on their PC. Simply click on the one you want to share. To stop sharing, just click on Stop Sharing in the upper right-hand corner.
*Note the lasso around the application being shared and the Stop Sharing button on the upper-right.
The Presenter and all Participants can view the application being shared. If desired, the Presenter can even allow remote users keyboard and mouse input. You can use Application Sharing even while sharing other documents and conducting a multiparty audio and video conference.
Use Application Sharing to:
- Make budgeting more efficient by bringing together multiple departments or franchises to add their data to the same spreadsheets in real time. Every Participant can see it, ask questions, and negotiate revisions - on the spot.
- Assemble a team from anywhere on the planet to draft an annual report, with each party inserting and editing copy, photos, artwork and spreadsheets.
- Make a creative session more collaborative by uniting a project manager, a marketing company representative, a designer, a copywriter and a photographer to create a mockup of a corporate brochure or Web site.

*Note the lasso around the application being shared;
and the Stop Sharing button on the upper-right.
Web Page Viewing
Meeting Central® lets you Share web browsing in real time. A Host will simply select the Share menu and choose Web Browser, which will immediately launch your browser and make it visible to everyone. It's just like looking over somebody's shoulder while they surf the Web. The desktop compression and real time engine has been used in this application for years, so it's proven, it'’s fast and it’s easy! It sure beats spelling out a long, complicated URL over the phone, or trying to explain where to click to go next!
Use Web Page Viewing to:
- Let your team compare competitors' web site features with your own while planning your site revamp.
- Beta test your new web sites with the creative and technical teams at the same time.
- Conduct new software product tours with multiple users to make smarter purchases.
- Conduct group research on the Internet.
- Incorporate selected web sites into your employee training webinar.
- Much More!

Remote Control
With Meeting Central®, you can easily request or grant Remote Control of any application or desktop being shared. The Host can right click on a Participant or Presenter and select Remote Control from the options, or just click on the Remote Control icon. Once Remote Control is granted, the allowed user gains keyboard and mouse control over the remote PC. The Host can override any Remote Control action by the Participant. If the web conference has more than two Participants, all users see the Remote Control session in real time. Stopping the session is easy: either the Host, or the user sharing their application or desktop can just click the "Stop Sharing" button on the upper-right.
The entire Remote Control session sends its traffic via the Meeting Central® server. Since this server is at a fixed IP address and uses port 80 and http, it achieves high levels of proxy and firewall compatibility. This lets you provide PC Remote control for any remote user, customer or business partner - without worrying about firewalls.
Use Remote Control to:
- Allow a Participant to conduct a portion of your presentation without having full Presenter capabilities.
- Invite a Participant to demonstrate a point he or she is trying to make verbally.
- Conduct participatory, experiential trainings in using a new software application.
- Much More!

WhiteBoard
The Meeting Central® WhiteBoard is a web space that provides text capability, drawing tools, shape tools, and more, to support group brainstorming or any other on-the-spot creative process. Any web conferencing Presenter can opt to Share a Whiteboard with selected Participants by assigning them Annotation Privileges (an easy point and click step). All viewers see updates to the WhiteBoard in real time.

- Copy and paste any item onto the WhiteBoard.
- Set color, width, opacity and other properties of any (applicable) item.
- Edit, rotate, resize, color, highlight or circle selected text.

Meeting Central® Web Conferencing includes seamlessly integrated, full-featured, Multiparty Video. The host can manage all aspects of the video session, including size, quality (low, medium, high) and frame rate (1-30 frames per second), and can change these settings at any user end-point in real time! Nowhere are the strengths of Meeting Centralâ„¢ real time technology more visually stunning than in a Multiparty Video conference while sharing multiple documents and presentations.
